Get ready for a blast from the past in the last season of NBC's long-running medical drama. According to TV Guide, Anthony Edwards will come back to ER, reprising his role as Mark Greene.

While Greene did die of a brain tumor on the show in 2002, Edwards will come back to the role in several flashback scenes, which will add some depth to Angela Bassett's character, in the November 13 episode of the series' 15th and final season.

Bassett's character, Cate Banfield will be hospitalized in the "Heal Thyself" episode, and Edwards' Greene character will appear to her in a series of flashbacks.
