Andy Serkis may team up with Rupert Wyatt for a motion-capture Animal Farm adaptation
Both Andy Serkis and Rupert Wyatt discussed using motion-capture techniques to put a new spin on Animal Farm, which was adapted twice before. The 1954 Animal Farm was an animated version, while the Jim Henson Company produced Animal Farm as a TV movie in 1999. The story centers on a group of animals who rise up against their human owners, only to find their system of "equality" to slant more and more towards a totalitarian system.
This new version is likely still quite a ways off, since there doesn't seem to be a screenwriter attached, and this potential project will also likely hinge on how well Rise of the Planet of the Apes does at the box office next month.

I'm down with this, 100%.
Further exposure into how Socialism/Communism doesn't work, the better :P

Animal Farm was my least favorite of the Orwell books. I found it rather heavy handed and not to subtle. But if they can do the movie right with mo cap and Serkis....i would be wiling to...

Awesome! I love Animal Farm, and I think Serkis would be a great choice to play someone in it. I don't know about Rupert Wyatt though. What else has he done?
