Angry New Robin Hood Trailer Still Trying to Pretend Its Not Braveheart

Ridley Scott's Robin Hood is set to open this Friday, May 14th and in anticipation of its upcoming release, Universal Pictures has unleashed an all-new, action-heavy trailer from the film featuring never-before-seen footage of Russell Crowe as the legendary thief of Nottingham. Robin Hood was released May 14th, 2010 and stars Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett, Max von Sydow, William Hurt, Mark Strong, Oscar Isaac, Danny Huston, Eileen Atkins. The film is directed by Ridley Scott.

  11. The Narrator: The Better Man

    How is this in comparison to Braveheart anymore than Gladiator or Kingdom of Heaven. They are all the same. Action/adventure stories. Genre tales. Whats wrong with that? Absolutely nothing. I'm glad their remaking this, it looks fascinating on a scale we've been wanting. funny thing is, now that it's here, people are comparing it to almost every sword-wielding, freedom-wanting epic made recently, or stubbornly accusing it of being a remake... when it's really just a story worth telling over again, with several different interpretations.

    Let's face it, this is awesome, and it's gonna make bucks because of it.
