Andrew Stanton Is Writing John Carter of Mars!

Pixar Blog announced and confirmed that Andrew Stanton, director of this summer's Pixar film WALL*E, is in fact writing the script for the long gestating and highly anticipated film John Carter of Mars. This information leaked out during a roundtable discussion with the writer/director while he was out promoting his latest Pixar creation in Toronto.

The exact quote from Stanton was, "I am writing John Carter of Mars right now!" At this time, there are no further details on the project, and it is not known whether this will be a live action or animated film.

John Carter of Mars does not have a set start date at this time.

    i think disney has a big line for movies in the next couple of years. so hopefully with some more details and some artwork. or stills whatever this film will become... we will have to wait and see.

    I read bout this in wizard. I don't remember exactly who it was, but apparently the guy who was gonna direct this dropped out to do another project. If anybody can remember who this might have been, let me know :)
