Andrew Garfield Joins the Cast of Lions for Lambs

Andrew Garfield has landed one of the leads in the new drama, Lions for Lambs for United Artists; he'll make his feature film debut.

He'll join Robert Redford, Tom Cruise and Meryl Streep in the film, which Redford is directing and producing; it's based on a screenplay by Matthew Michael Carnahan. The Hollywood Reporter says the story features three interconnected plotlines: a congressman who interacts with a journalist; an idealistic professor who attempts to inspire a privileged student in his class; and a pair of American soldiers wounded in enemy territory in Afghanistan, one of whom is the professor's former student.

Lions for Lambs will hit theaters later this year.

Lions for Lambs was released November 9th, 2007 and stars Robert Redford, Meryl Streep, Tom Cruise, Michael Peña, Andrew Garfield, Peter Berg, Kevin Dunn, Derek Luke. The film is directed by Robert Redford.
