Andre Braugher and Laurie Holden are joining the cast of the horror/thriller, The Mist for Dimension Films.

Thomas Jane has already signed on to the film, the adaptation of the Stephen King story. Frank Darabont is writing the screenplay; he's also directing and producing. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the flick is set after a strange storm blows through a Maine town and its citizens are attacked by deadly creatures; a group of town folk barricade themselves in a supermarket and struggle for survival.

Shooting on The Mist is scheduled to begin next month in Shreveport, La.
