Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy stars Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, David Koechner, and Christina Applegate are all returning for the sequel, which is currently being written by Adam McKay and Will Ferrell. All that is known about the story thus far is that it will be set in the late 1970s and will focus on how the Action 4 News team tries to adapt to the new changes in broadcast news.
An earlier report revealed that director Adam McKay hopes to begin shooting in either January or February of 2013. However, since it seems the script isn't ready yet, that production schedule may have to be altered.
In somewhat-related news, we have three new set photos from Kristen Wiig's latest comedy The Skeleton Twins. The actress stars alongside her former Saturday Night Live cohort Bill Hader as estranged twin siblings who re-connect after they both have near-death experiences. Apparently, this brother-sister duo are coming from a bizarre costume party, since they look like cowboy mimes, but that's just a guess. Check out these shots from director Craig Johnson's comedy.
Anchorman: The Legend Continues comes to theaters December 20th, 2013 and stars Paul Rudd, Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Christina Applegate, Luke Wilson, David Koechner, James Marsden. The film is directed by Adam McKay.

@SpaceCowboy Haha very well put. It did seem very unscripted a lot of the time. But isn't it that way most of the time with Ferrell? The director tells him to go scream and run around, and he does so.

@crypt It just made me groan. It's really sad when you realize the "Wake-Up, Ron Burgundy" movie is just a compilation of outtakes from Anchorman. If you ask me, Anchorman was nothing but a bunch of improvised outtakes anyway.
