Amy Adams to Star in Night at the Museum 2

Amy Adams is currently in negotiations to star with Ben Stiller in 20th Century Fox's Night at the Museum 2: Escape From the Smithsonian. According to Variety, Shawn Levy will return to direct the Robert Ben Garant, Thomas Lennon and Scott Frank screenplay.

Adams will portray an undetermined historical figure that has a crush on security guard Larry (Stiller). Levy's 21 Laps is producing the sequel along with 1492 Pictures. Filming has been scheduled for a May start date on location in Vancouver.

Night at the Museum 2: Escape From the Smithsonian is scheduled to be released May 22nd, 2009.

Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian was released May 22nd, 2009 and stars Ben Stiller, Amy Adams, Owen Wilson, Hank Azaria, Robin Williams, Christopher Guest, Alain Chabat, Steve Coogan. The film is directed by Shawn Levy.
