Actress Amy Adams has been making the press rounds as of late, for her new movies The Master and Trouble with the Curve. Naturally, she has also been fielding questions about next summer's Man of Steel, where she plays a "reinvented" Lois Lane. She recently spoke about her Man of Steel co-star Henry Cavill, revealing how invested he was in this superhero character.

"You feel like you're in scenes with Superman. He is completely invested and yoked and he just really took the role very seriously and yeah, he's fantastic, he's just so yum. He's the nicest guy, aside from the face."

The actress also revealed she shared a few scenes with Michael Shannon, who plays the "terrifying" General Zod.

"He's fantastic. He's terrifying. I only had a couple scenes with him."

Man of Steel was released June 14th, 2013 and stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Diane Lane, Russell Crowe, Antje Traue, Harry Lennix, Richard Schiff. The film is directed by Zack Snyder.

@bawnian-dexeus I enjoyed TF3 though, I was a Transformers fan growing up and I never cared for the Avengers. Iron Man and Hulk were fine but Thor and CA are a waste of time. Iron Man doesnt get compared to other CB movies, I think Iron Man 1 and IH was the best of the Avengers phase 1 movies. the rest were filler

@comicbookfan I am using comparisions to show my point but its not where my intentions lie. Superman will be its own movie but I was saying when it comes out people will compare it to Avengers and Batman

@mcleve02 speaking of the new 52, dont you make your long awaited return on October 3rd?

@superman81 You don't want comparisons but yet you're making them? That doesn't make any sense. If people didn't help make the comparisons then that wouldn't be the norm. You're only adding to that problem, then. Plus I didn't say Superman's story was all rainbows.

@bawnian-dexeus where did I give it a perfect score?

@mcleve02 Right, well who knows, I know I'm really waiting on that first theatrical trailer. Teasers don't show you any story, the theatricals are where it's at to see the filming style and parts of the story. I'm waiting on that to decide for myself. I knew with TDKR even before the trailer came out because they were releasing so much promotional crap for it that it was easy to see.

@mcleve02 Agreed. Reading some of the NEw 52, they seem more relatable to the real world than the comic book world (examples: mentioning twitter, facebook, youtube, the aquaman joke references on SNL)

@comicbookfan every CB movie that comes out will be compared to either Avengers or Nolans Batman. they set the stage, I dont want comparisons but its going to happen. I dont think Superman will be as dark as Batman but Superman does have tragedy. And I think they are going to show that in this movie. Superman's story isnt all rainbows and gumdrops. I think this movie will show Clark and his struggles more which will give it that realism effect but its going to be much more sci fi than what Batman was

@superman81 Kind of hard to understand your description of how Avengers performed for you when you gave Dark of the Moon a perfect score

    2 years agoby @bawnian-dexeusFlag

@comicbookfan I think the overall feeling they are going after is not as much a realism world that we had in the Batman universe as much of a "If this were happening in real life right now with Superman, how would he be viewed?" Kind of scenario... There is nothing said or shown that really shows me they are going the route of TDK or the happy campy Superman we have always seen... I think they are going right down the middle, which is why I am being supportive of it... They are trying to tell the story so that we can see he is not God, he is Superman.. Idk... that is my take on this...

@superman81 Superman doesn't need "a Nolan effect." Not sure where that's coming from. Everyone started saying that after TDK came out and it's garbage. Every character has their own thing. Batman is dark, based on realism. Nolan wasn't a god, either. Just another director. Superman is the polar opposite. A bright, uplifting story based on uber aliens and incredible, unrealistic science fiction. There's no need to go that route. And just because some people don't want that direction with Superman, doesn't mean they want direction like Avengers, either. Kind of unfair comparisons, here.

@comicbookfan I will admit that Nolan left some stuff out of TDKR that was key and his continuity was not all there. it was still a very good film. I feel he rushed it to be honest

@comicbookfan that is fine, I just dont see putting it down before everything is laid out. I know people are not going to like the new take on Superman. More people would love the Avengers approach. Cheap cheesy comic book action with corny one liners and a lame ass plot. Not saying Avengers was not good but it was what it was, a popcorn flick with huge explosions, lots of CGI, and better acting than Transformers. It made Hulk relevant again that was the best part. I know people dont have faith in Snyder and they dont like the Nolan effect this movie might have.

I'm however interested in the prospect of a Kryptonian war in this film, however, as @dan1 pointed out to me. Which I'm thinking will be Zod's uprising before capture and exile. Hopefully, anyway. Random thoughts.

@superman81 Not that it will bomb. Just that it won't be very good. I'll reserve my judgment for full theatrical trailers, since it's kind of obvious just from those how the average comic book movie will be, but I'm sticking to those guns for now about this one. I called it with TDKR too, and that movie let a lot of people down. Though I realize every movie will still have it's fans.
