American Pie Presents: Beta House Begins Principal Photography
American Pie Presents: Beta House is packed with the audacious can't-believe-they-did-that humor and outrageous situations that have made the American Pie franchise one of the most popular with audiences. Previous Universal DVD Original(TM) releases American Pie Presents: Band Camp and American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile remain two of the top five best-selling live-action, non-family made-for-DVD releases of all time.
"Over the past eight years, the American Pie films have transcended their blockbuster success to become a pop cultural phenomenon," says Craig Kornblau, President of Universal Studios Home Entertainment. "The outrageous yet heartwarming humor and characters that are hallmarks of the American Pie series continue to entertain both loyal and new audiences and this latest escapade holds true to that tradition."
Reuniting for American Pie Presents: Beta House are American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile cast alumni John White (How to Deal) as Erik Stifler, Steve Talley (Peaceful Warrior) as Dwight Stifler, Jake Siegel (American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile) as Mike "Cooze" Coozeman, Jordan Prentice (Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle) as Rock, Christopher McDonald (Kickin' It Old Skool) as Mr. Stifler, and franchise perennial Eugene Levy (For Your Consideration) as the venerable Mr. Levinstein. The film also introduces talented new cast members Bradford Anderson (General Hospital), Meghan Heffern (The Fog, Flight 93), Jonathan Keltz (Breach) and Nicholas Nicotera, aka Nic Nac (2 Dudes and a Dream, Bottoms Up).
Director Andrew Waller ("Taking 5") takes the reins of this latest Pie escapade, which is produced by American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile producer W. K. Border, with Byron A. Martin ("Land of the Dead") serving as co-producer and Joel Soisson as executive producer. American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile screenwriter Erik Lindsay once again scripts the shenanigans.
In American Pie Presents: Beta House, the gang's all-new hijinks take them from the town of Great Falls to a university in Michigan. At the college, the party scene is in full swing, especially along fraternity row, where the competition for social supremacy is ferocious. Our heroes Erik and Cooze pledge the infamous Beta Delta Xi House, and hilarity ensues as everyone gets swept up in the craziness, pranks, partying, and, of course, unpredictable sexual situations. Pitted against the rival "Geek" House and their power-hungry leader, the rivalry gets so intense that only the long-banned Greek Games can settle the question of which House prevails. It's up to the Betas to pull together and prove that some traditions deserve to be upheld!
