American Gladiator Titan to Be Conan or Captain America?
O'Hearn was on the Todd n'Tyler radio show in Omaha where he discussed his meeting for Conan, saying "Today's not even an audition. They're bringing me in today just to sit me down and talk. How about that? It's even better than an audition!" O'Hearn also claimed to have a casting session scheduled for The First Avenger: Captain America
The gladiator would be no stranger to either barbarian heroes or superheroes, having portrayed Kane the Barbarian in the 2003 direct-to-DVD film Barbarian, and playing Superman in Sandy Collera's highly-praised fan-film World's Finest.
Captain America: The First Avenger was released July 22nd, 2011 and stars Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, Sebastian Stan, Tommy Lee Jones, Hugo Weaving, Dominic Cooper, Richard Armitage, Stanley Tucci. The film is directed by Joe Johnston.
Conan the Barbarian was released August 19th, 2011 and stars Jason Momoa, Stephen Lang, Rachel Nichols, Ron Perlman, Rose McGowan, Bob Sapp, Leo Howard, Steven O'Donnell. The film is directed by Marcus Nispel.

cap is an icon. not sure who this guy is though, hopefully not some steriod meathead. casting does count, but i agree with fate 45 on those lame actors ruining those movies, but a no name may be what cap needs look what hugh jackman did for xmen. id think some built like howie long, but with more brains since cap is the leader of the avengers

No anyone can play Cap, he is the most important character in all of comics. If they f*ck up the casting on Cap your going to have a lot of angry people. Examples; Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Spiderman 3 (for some reason Tobey was good in the first two, you can blame it on the director if you want). Never has a casting decision be so important for any movie in the history of movies.

Capt is all american.. Give me one american actor who couldn't play that role?? that's why it doesn't matter.. cast any american blooded actor. It will be good no matter who they cast(sorry to say 'who cares' about the actor)... I am more worried about THOR......... But for Conan, they have to cast someone who looks like a Cimmerian.

Anyone can play that role? R u f*cking kidding!? It's captain america! Cap deserves just as good of an actor as conan, maybe even better. Plus, when the avengers movie comes, u can't just have "anyone" alongside downey jr. and norton...i hope u were kidding

Ray Park, annoying? I never thought of him...hmmm...he's def. got the fighting talent, and die his hair blonde, and he COULD pull it off...the only prob. I can think of with him is that he's usually a second tier character. He doesn't get many lines, he's just hired for his skills in combat(darth maul, toad, snake eyes). He'd def. do wonders with that shield of cap's...it would be better than a reality star by A LOT haha

I agree that nobodies/unknowns CAN work out, but, in the case of O'Hearn, there's no acting talent there.
At this stage of Captain America & Conan, it's early casting...testing the waters, not a done deal.
Maybe the guy playing Snake Eyes in G.I. Joe could play Captain America.

There have been times where the virtually unknown becomes the face of a franchise. Christopher Reeves rested the entire Superman franchise on his shoulders and he wasn't known for anything until he donned the cape and tights. Sometimes we create the depth of these characters when we read and interpret comics and later develop opinions as to how they should be portrayed. Arnold was Conan, a body builder turned actor, he wasn't the greatest talent but he had the look and charisma to pull off the role. We felt the plight, we felt the angst, we felt the weight of a confused barbarian warriors heart. Worlds Finest, however short, was a fairly decent portrayal of Superman. It was true to the Man of Steel from the comic book. And had it been a full feature length film, I would have paid to see it with almost the same enthusiasm I had for The Dark Knight. In many of these comic book movies, they look for a face to a franchise. Brandon Routh is Superman, he is the face of that new series. When I saw him on screen, I didn't think, "Wow, look at Brandon sore through the sky." I thought, "Wow, look at Superman go!". And that's the thing, big names only make you see the name, not the character. That's what these studios try to keep in mind. The lesser known talents are more likely to embody the leading characters we love. They can build something around them. Bigger names usually play the supporting or villainous roles. There are but a few times mega stars take on the mantle of a role and either pass or fail. Nicholas Cage failed miserably. Robert Downey Jr. made me believe in Tony Stark. I think it would be a smart move letting a lesser known pick up the shield of Captain America and cut down kingdoms trying to reign tyranny down on ravaged lands. I'm for it...It just may work.

Really bad choice...he's a total cheeseball with no acting talent. I think the studio is just looking around.

I highly doubt Marvel would take such a big chance casting a complete unknown with virtually no acting experience.

The Narrator: The Better Man
Totally wrong choice for Cap. I mean looks a bit like him, but we need a awesome actor for an awesome avenger. Also 4 Conan, he doesn't look brutish, or anything like a barbarian.

Nor CaP nor conan.. He looks like he would fit Capt America better than conan just because he kind of looks like he is all american. But for Conan.. we need some brutish looking dude.. like Dalip Singh.. that guy would rock as Conan.. take Arnold by the balls and show how to knock a camel right the f*ck out.
