AMC Gets Clint Eastwood's Letters from Iwo Jima

AMC has purchased the cable TV rights to Clint Eastwood's Letters From Iwo Jima. According to Variety, the film will air as a special primetime event on February 16th.

Eastwood has taped a special introduction to the film just for AMC. The cable channel will also be running a making-of documentary on the film. This is the earliest AMC has ever gotten a theatrical film from the time it was released in theaters.

You can expect the film to be aired on constant rotation after it makes its AMC debut.

Letters From Iwo Jima was released December 20th, 2006 and stars Ken Watanabe, Kazunari Ninomiya, Tsuyoshi Ihara, Ryo Kase, Shido Nakamura, Hiroshi Watanabe, Takumi Bando, Yuki Matsuzaki. The film is directed by Clint Eastwood.
