According to The Hollywood Reporter Amaury Nolasco will be joining Johnny Depp in The Rum Diary.

Nolasco will play the role of Segurra, he is the son of the biggest cement-plant owner in Puerto Rico.

Bruce Robinson is adapting the novel from Hunter S. Thompson's book.

Also in the film, which starts lensing this week in Puerto Rico, are Aaron Eckhart, Amber Heard, Richard Jenkins, Giovanni Ribisi and Michael Rispoli.

The Rum Diary was released October 28th, 2011 and stars Johnny Depp, Aaron Eckhart, Michael Rispoli, Amber Heard, Richard Jenkins, Giovanni Ribisi, Amaury Nolasco, Marshall Bell. The film is directed by Bruce Robinson.
