I'm sure it'll be in theaters for that long but i also guarantee that it won't be in the top 5 for that long.

I don't think I disagreed with you...
Besides, anyone becomes agreeable after a number of dollar signs.
But as we've discussed, it's moot. I wasn't arguing that the ad campaign would continue 'til February, you made logical points about that in your first rebuttal. But, I guarantee you it will stay in theaters that long.

Comrade, for the last time Super Bowl ads only show on the network the game is on and it's not on Fox. it's on CBS. CBS does not support 20th Century Fox. Everything Paramount, CBS will show.

Why are you comparing this to DTESS? I'd say there's too profound an investment in this for Fox to give up on it that easily. Fine, Super Bowl ads will be at a minimum, but I guarantee you this thing will be in theaters until February.

Oh look figures out of anyone id see in here itd be you Newkill200, oh whats that you think the movie will do sh*t and all? well thats fine.. but KEEP YOUR F*CKIN OPINION TO YOURSELF f*cking hell, seems anywhere I go in a post with you in it you bugger me. Now on the side, I think this film out of my own opinion, will f*cking be amazing, ive bought and got my tickets for imax on the 19th, Tho im a huge fan of james cameron, his basically my inspiration to filmmaking, im staying away from the mega mega hype all fans are giving simply because I feel if I give to much into it I wont enjoy as much, the great thing about district 9 was I hadnt seen much of it maybe a trailer or 2 and thats it, went into the cinema not knowing what I was going to see. I'm not puting up anything on avatar till i actually do see the film then ill make my judgements.

The Day the Earth Stood Still was released same time last year. And it was gone by the time Feb came. If the movie isn't in the top 5 it won't be up in Feb. And it doesn't matter anyway. Like I said, CBS doesn't support Fox. They will probably only show Avatar trailer once and that's it.

End of December release means this won't leave theaters completely until the second week of february. Two months man. Movies have stayed in main showings for five before.

This clip definitely falls in line with my expectations for the movie: mediocre story, decent enough acting (if a little overdone in parts) and fantastic visuals and set design. James Cameron did fine with this formula on the highest grossing film ever, not to mention T2.

Super Bowl is in February, Avatar comes in what like next week. It won't stay in theaters that long. Maybe if the Super Bowl was broadcasted from Fox but. 2010 it's gonna be on CBS and CBS doesn't support Fox.

I think FOX is relying really heavily on word of mouth and very soon you will see bombardment marketing on websites, and then maybe even some late run Super Bowl press.

The total population of the average consumer don't even know about this movie. Only movie fans really know about this. when this comes out, people will still be going crazy for New Moon. Drag Me to Hell got good word of mouth and it didn't do so well. Transformers 2 got nothing but bad word of mouth and bad reviews but it's still the highest grossing movie of 2009, so there you go.

I guess we'll see. But the average consumer buys on hype. They'll watch what they are told to watch. The right people will say stuff and word of mouth will get out.

Still there's nothing photo realistic about Avatar. That photo world doesn't even exist. It's all green room. You see how poorly the Christmas carol did. No real life and it failed. Inglorious Basterds had all real life in it and it made tons of money.

It will be a terrible movie. It's nothing special. This movie is overrated even before it comes out. If you think this will put up Transformers 2 money, then your crazy. This movie cost 300 mil to make. I doubt it'll even hit the 200 mil mark.

Besides, when a movie become 100 percent like real life, that's when i loose interest in the business.

Avatar is near photo realistic. Just because they don't exist doesn't mean the detail can't be astounding.

Being different can still make it special. It's still something cool and it will be a good movie. And lets face it, it'll make money. Transformers 2 made money, and this is by far a step above, so it'll make serious green.
