Warner Bros. has set Aline Brosh McKenna, the writer of Fox 2000's The Devil Wears Prada, to fashion the script for the single-mom tale, The Ivy Chronicles, starring Sarah Jessica Parker.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Parker joined the dramatic comedy last month. The plot centers on an upper-middle-class New York mother who is forced to start over after getting divorced and losing her high-powered job in one fell swoop. Based on a novel by Karen Quinn, the project is described as The Nanny Diaries meets The Starter Wife.

No production date has been set.

The Ivy Chronicles was released in 2010 and stars Sarah Jessica Parker.
