Yeah, he is remaking frankenweenie, but he is also planning a 1984 adaptation.

  3. The Narrator: The Better Man

Big Fish is still Burtons best. Looks fun, but I am over it. To much Depp. this is "Alice in Wonderland", not "Mad Hatter In Your Face". Anyways, we'll see.

  4. Err

I like Burton, but I agree, he should focus on something a little more original. Except I really want him to get his 1984 adaptation going.

Sweenyfan1 is clearly a f*cking idiot. Which Corpse Bride and Mars Attacks both sucked. Get off Tim Burton's dick already.

  10. Stiles

Sweenyfan1 is clearly a retard with his c*ck burrowed far too deep in Burton's anus to give any reasoned opinion, but I digress.

What I should have said was, I wish Burton would use some original source material - not a classic book, film, or comic.

All these "reimaginings" or whatever you want to call them are tired.

The donkey asked after your mother incidentally Sweenyfan1.

Just show us some stuff with Stephen Fry and stop pummeling us with Johnny Depp. There ARE other characters for christ sake.

BTW, my favorite Burton film is Sweeney Todd, then Big Fish.

I don't see this as a remake at all. Burton has consistently done good work and I don't this will be any different. He has a great eye and is a talented director.

  22. GeekStar

No sweeneyfan it is not a remake.More along the lines of a Tim Burton freaky retelling of an already freaked out Disney story line.I swear the people who made the last one was high on something.Tim burton does not need to be high to come up with some freaky stuff. He's a freak as is.He is engaged to be married to Helena Bonham Carter after all.Lol

I still like his films, it's just Burton is stuck, a directors block.
That and he hasn't thought up anything new for a while.
Directors that get stuck, do remakes for money.

  26. sweeneyfan1

SHUT THE F*CK UP HOISIN!!!!! U dont Know anything about Tim Burton!!! He has crated many other films than remakes since Ed Wood (corpse Bride, Mars Attacks) Plus this movie isnt a remake its more of a sequel to the originall Alice in Wonderland!! Dont try to tell pepole wrong facts about Tim Burton, because he is one of the best directors of all time!! So Go f*ck a Donkey, and get out of Movieweb!!!!

Sweeney Todd was ok, but doesn't sit along side the likes of Batman, Scissorhands or Beetlejuice to my mind.

Maybe its the creep of CGI, or the reliance on remaking classics but for me his films since the mid 90s have just lacked "magic" for want of a better word.

His production design is still fantastic and he always gets something good out of his actors i.e Depp so I hope he can return to form.

Maybe Frankenweenie will deliver the goods, but even that's a remake!!

He's lost his muse or something...
