There are similarities in the trailer to Wrath of Khan but that in no way means he's playing khan. He could be another genetically altered human. Who knows. Or it may have zero connections to Khan. He could just be another psycho villain.

They're still going on about this? How many times do they have to f*cking say it before people get it through their thick skulls that HE'S NOT PLAYING KHAN

At this point, who cares what anyone says? I seem to recall Nolan saying Marion Cotillard wasn't playing Talia, and guess what happened? Now I'm not saying I want C*mberbatch to play Khan; quite the contrary, I'd rather he be an all new villain for this altered dimension of Star Trek. But with that said, I'm certainly not going to take the words of anyone in the film seriously until after I see the film for myself.
