According to The Hollywood Reporter, Alexis Bledel, Jay Baruchel and DJ Qualls have been reeled in for I Am Reed Fish, an independent romantic comedy being directed by Zackary Adler. Peter Alwazzan is producing, and Akiva Goldsman is exec producing.

Set in a rural town, the story revolves around Fish (Baruchel), who runs a popular local radio station and is in love with Bledel's character. Qualls is a convenience store owner who also has a thing for Bledel. Filming starts later this month in Big Bear, Calif.
