Alec Baldwin will head to Rome for the Untitled Woody Allen Project
We reported last month that Woody Allen will set this new untitled project in Rome. Although the filmmaker used to shoot his movies solely in New York City, he has taken his movies to other cities across the globe in recent years. Here's what the director had to say last month about his new global excursions.
"I love these sophisticated cities. It's fantastic to have the possibility to work there, like when I shot Manhattan in New York, Match Point in London and Vicky Cristina Barcelona in Barcelona ... Each time, it's like a declaration of love for certain places. I project onto the big screen my feelings for places which count a lot in my life. I hope to do the same thing with Rome."
No story details have been revealed for the Untitled Woody Allen Project at this time. It isn't known when production will start on the Untitled Woody Allen Project yet.
To Rome with Love comes to theaters June 22nd, 2012 and stars Ellen Page, Penélope Cruz, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Allen, Alec Baldwin, Roberto Benigni, Judy Davis, Maricel Álvarez. The film is directed by Woody Allen.

Allen may not be the director he once was, but he sure knows how to put together a great cast.

Allen hasn't made a great movie for more than twenty years, so maybe he's due. By adding Baldwin as a supporting actor instead of the lead, that shows Allen is moving in the right direction; Baldwin has never been a good leading man, but has absolutely flourished in supporting roles (The Cooloer, Beetlejuice, etc.).

Considering I only like Alec Baldwin sometimes, and Woody Allen pretty much never, this'll be a giant pass from me.
