One of the hottest scripts in town has finally found a home. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Alcon Entertainment has acquired Prisoners.

The script was written my Aaron Guzikowski, and the project is on a fast-track to production, but now how initially intended. Both Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale were attached to star, but now apparently won't be a part of the film. Director Bryan Singer was also said to be attached, but will no longer be at the helm as well.

Despite the lack of cast or a director, the project has been slated for an October 2010 release and the producers are currently casting and searching for a director.
