Alan Cumming has boarded the Screen Gems musical Burlesque, from writer-director Steve Antin, starring Cher and Christina Aguilera.

According to Variety, the film also features Stanley Tucci, Cam Gigandet, Kristen Bell and Julianne Hough. Aguilera will play an ambitious small-town girl with a big voice who finds herself at a neo-burlesque club. Cumming will play the club's gender-bending host and master of ceremonies.

Production begins Nov. 9.

Burlesque was released November 24th, 2010 and stars Cher, Christina Aguilera, Stanley Tucci, Kristen Bell, Cam Gigandet, Alan Cumming, Eric Dane, Peter Gallagher. The film is directed by Steve Antin.
