Al Pacino has signed on to star in the biopic, Dali & I: The Surreal Story for Room 9 Entertainment.

He'll reunite with writer/director Andrew Niccol to play Salvador Dali in the film. The Hollywood Reporter notes it will span the 1960s-80s, a time when most of Dali's great work was behind him and he became more flamboyant. The story also will focus on a mentor-protege relationship between Dali and Stan Lauryssens, a young art dealer.

Production will begin in June on Dali & I: The Surreal Story.
