Headhunters star Aksel Hennie has joined the cast of Brett Ratner's upcoming reboot of the classic action film Hercules.

Dwayne Johnson is starring in this remake that transforms the son of Zeus into a mortal with a intimidating reputation. He leads a group of mercenaries on a mission with a mysterious twist. Aksel Hennie will play Tydeus, a close friend Hercules, who is dual axe wielding madman that is required to be chained while he sleeps.

Brett Ratner is directing from a script by Ryan Condal. Beau Flynn, Barry Levine are producing alongside the helmer.

No production schedule has been released.

Hercules comes to theaters July 25th, 2014 and stars Dwayne Johnson, Joseph Fiennes, Rebecca Ferguson, John Hurt, Ian McShane, Irina Shayk, Robert Maillet, Rufus Sewell. The film is directed by Brett Ratner.
