In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, A&E has renewed Steven Seagal: Lawman for a second season.

A&E has snatched up 16 episodes of the docudrama from ITV Studios and Steamroller Productions. This is an increase from the first season's 13 episodes.

Seagal and his Sheriffs Department colleagues will once again protect the people of New Orleans. However, this time the production filmed during Mardi Gras.

"It presents some unique challenges to the police force and Seagal; there's such a high volume of people you never quite know what you're going to get," offered executive producer Robert Sharenow.

The first season of the show was a success for the network. It averaged 2.1 million viewers and 1.3 million adults 18-49. This made it A&E's best debut performance by an original series in total viewers.
