Adrian Paul has jumped aboard the upcoming Sci Fi Channel original movie Captain Drake, playing the title character. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Temuera Morrison (best known for playing Jango Fett) will also star in the project.

This pirate-themed action fantasy finds real-life English pirate/admiral/adventurer Frances Drake on a quest to find the legendary Tree of Life. He hopes that it will save his daughter. Along the way, he battles the Spanish Armada, sea monsters, a mystical Persian sorceress and the legendary Norse God-creature the NidhoggCQ.

The film is scheduled to shoot in the Black Sea and Eastern Europe. It will debut sometime next year as part of Sci Fi's Saturday Night lineup.
