Halloween producers Malek Akkad, Justin Hogan and Marc Lazard have optioned the upcoming horror script Hurt for production. According to Variety, Adam Finberg will direct this Anthony Grieco/Jeff Drongowski screenplay.

The film follows a group of friends that reunite after one of them commits suicide. The reunion soon turns into a bloodbath as it is discovered that someone wants retribution for the death.

This will be Finberg's first feature as a director. It will most likely go into production early next year.
