Adam Arkin Is A Serious Man

Adam Arkin has joined the cast of A Serious Man, Joel and Ethan Coen's dramedy for Focus Features and Working Title Films.

According to Variety, Arkin joins Michael Stuhlbarg and Richard Kind, who play brothers in the black comedy, which takes place in 1967.

The story centers on Larry Gopnik (Stuhlbarg), a Midwestern professor who watches his life unravel when his wife prepares to leave him because his inept brother (Kind) won't move out of the house.

The Coens wrote the script and produce.

Production is currently underway in Minnesota.

A Serious Man was released October 2nd, 2009 and stars Michael Stuhlbarg, Richard Kind, Fred Melamed, Sari Lennick, Aaron Wolff, Jessica McManus, Peter Breitmayer, Brent Braunschweig. The film is directed by Ethan Coen, Joel Coen.
