She died. By what means doesnt truly matter. Let the dead rest, what is talking sh*t going to accomplish. Her cause of death means nothing. 32 is way to young to die. Rest in Peace BM.

I heard about this a few hours after on Sunday. There was no report about pills, only that that's all they found IN HER HOME. They were prescribed in her name, I mean who cares about that, she was a diabetic for cryin' out loud. But the family said she was experiencing flu-like symptoms in the days leading up to her death. They were doing an autopsy last I heard, and won't say anything about the cause of death until the toxicology comes back in 4-8 weeks. So really, nothing has been said and we cannot jump the shark on what caused her cardiac arrest.

Moving on, I feel sad that another star has fallen so young. Brittany Murphy really got into her characters, and had some great movies under her belt. She was on the rise, and her death is so mysterious to me. I wonder if she went into a seizure or anaphylactic shock, due to her diabetes or illness. Guess we will have to wait on that toxicology results. RIP Brittany Murphy, another fallen star. So sad.

    lotsa pills.
    i don't even like tylenol for sh*t-sakes.
took a vicodin once and 'bout crawled outta my skin.
lotsa crazy pressures on these hollywood folks, though.
gotta be hard not being able to go out anywhere without bunches of shutterbugs and fans.
i'd MUCH prefer RICH to FAMOUS...

wtf? my comments gone. 3 perscription bottles for 3 separate types of problems taken from the residence. full dead on heart attacks are rare at her age, and given they require toxicology reports to determine the cause of death, since the first autopsy can easily confirm if heart attack was the cause suggests perscriptions brought this on, be it accidental or abuse.

And where's the story on Dan O'Bannon???? He's much easier recognized in the business.

I just feel bad for those on here who are talking mad sh*t, you must be a terrible friend or lover. You're the reason why this world is so f*cked up. People like you sh*tting on those who care. F*ck you.

First of all, her being a drug addict is and assumption. No body knows yet wether she died cause of a cocaine overdose or natural causes. Regardless, I've had friends and family that have been addicted to some substance or another and it's not something fun to see. Luckily most of them had the strength to pull through. If any of them would have died I would have never said "oh well they had it coming", I would have felt it was tragic, cause I wouldn't have them around today the way they are, healthy. If she died cause of an overdose, I feel sorry for her family, that they weren't able to help her get over it in time to save her life.

It's reported that her husband doesn't want an autopsy performed, which could mean 3 things: 1) he doesn't want the body tampered with out of some spiritual belief or what not, 2) he doesn't want to find out her cause of death in the fear that it will reveal substance abuse, which I doubt he wants to grieve over her with that in mind, or 3)he had something to do with her death.

your right it is about not sh*tting on their graves, but like you said before it is about respecting someones passing, and how can you respect a dope fiend?? the choices that someone makes ultimately effects the outcome of their life. I am just suprised that this was not a post of tara reid or lindsay lohan.

And plus it's not even confirmed that she died of substance abuse which some on here claim that is what killed her.

How sad. I can't believe 2 people gave this a thumbs up. Who likes it when people die? I mean, I don't care for Brittany Murphy so much, but it was still a shame. 32 is too young. RIP

I have no sympathy for people that abuse and die from their addictions. It is amazing that some of these actors and/or musicians, get more respect when they die, as if paying some noble tribute to them, even though noone gave a sh*t or could care less when they are alive. Yes death should be mourned. It just brings me back to the whole farrah fawcett and michael situation, where he got all the press from death due to basically being a drug addict yet fawcett, was living with cancer and succ*mbed to it. We idolize these people in death due to the fact that they did not care about their own life and those around them. Now i know, there is no proof (except some reports of police finding prescription drugs at the home) yet but i am sure the toxicology reports will show it, she had a history of drug abuse, and i cant feel sorry for someone that is that selfish with themselves. noone at the age of 32 should have a cardiac arrest, unless it is due to drugs or a long history of it. yes it is a loss for her family and friends, but this could have been long prevented.

  22. Err

i'm the same age as brittany murphy and have enjoyed her work since clueless.

i wasn't altogether surprised by the news, and i think i figured out why.
there was an snl skit in the fake news thing that they do, where i seem to recall it ended with someone expressing concern for her well-being. so any comments you see about people not being surprised by her death may be the result of the commenter also having seen that sketch.
(the sketch has subsequently been pulled from hulu, youtube, etc)

It doesn't matter if she was a good actress or not, the point is, is that she passed away. If you can't respect someone's passing then you really need help. I honestly mean that what I just said, some of you need to take a step back and look at yourselves.

My wife and I were married on September 26th, 2009. When we went on our honeymoon we left for a town 3 hours from Denver called Salida. We rented a cabin, bought food to cook on the grill and 2 movies. One of these movies was "Just Married" which I had never seen. Britney was 32 when she died, too young. She made me smile, laugh and happy. I hope that her soul is at rest as I know she is with our lord.
