It is finally here! The first trailer for Abduction, starring Twilight heartthrob and shirtless wonder Taylor Lautner in his first leading man role. Directed by John Singleton, this thrilling and violent action yarn follows a young man who must unravel a dark mystery about his real birth parents. Check out this heart-pounding clip below.

    Wow, the trailer looks really amazing....also what a great cast, Alfred Molina and Sigourney Weaver?!?! This should be really good, can't wait.

    I hope the actual moving has as good of pacing as the trailer, it looks like a full throttle thriller. Also way awesome that they used "Kids" by Sleigh Bells at the end of the trailer...really gets me pumped for the movie!

    @iamfratson i think it's pretty safe for me to say you are absolutely right with one exception: it's that his stale, lousy acting seems to have carried from twilight into this jump the shark movie, too. he's like Channing Tatum, but worse and with a freakishly-longer neck. lol

    1st of all, ppl are taking themselves and this movie waaay toooo serious. It is what it is an "ok" action flik w/a kinda cool plot. I think it will be entertaining at best. Jason Statham he is not, but then again ppl r bashin him cuz of his Twilight films. Twilight films aside, lets see the movie & then make an honest assessment. We all know Twilight fans r rabid and close minded when it comes to the TRUE talent of the films stars, in Twilight world a piece of flaming crap with Twilight stamped on it is "ART DECO" that rivals a Picasso piece.

    Enough with the "he can do stunts" excuse. He can do SOME stunts. His agents/managers will not let him do big stunts. So who cares if he does a jump or two. Not impressed with this roided up tween at all. You want to see an actor do stunts then watch Jackie Chan or even Tom Cruise (MI:2). Anyone can run, fight and jump on screen.

  15. The Narrator: The Better Man

    The concept of the film is actually pretty interesting, although far-fetched. Still, with better actors, a different director (I don't like Singleton), and perhaps a less random cast, I would have seen this. Sadly, that wasn't the case for this trailer and probably the overall film. Not only am I seeing bad dialouge, and cheesy chase scenes that I swear I've seen done a gagillion times, but I also get Lautners high pitched voice interjecting here and there. So he can do stunts. Then let him have a future as a stunt man, or if he's really good enough, a stunt coordinator. But leave him out of acting, please. Overall, I'm not buying the concept because they got the wrong salesmen. They think that Lautner will save the movie ,along with decent action, which will reign true B.O. wise (probably), but they forget about the real selling point is something necessary, something worthwhile. This film doesn't seem to have anything to offer me, as an individual, aside from the ability to see masses of girls flock to the theaters and get all hot and bothered whenever they hear a familiar high pitched sound come into play.

    And to all those people defending the kid, if he was serious about acting, he'd swallow his pride, take acting lessons, and try to learn from all the criticism. He's obviously not doing that, so there ya have it. He's proven his "talents" in 3 films that I've seen (regrettably), and I doubt that I'll see a fourth.

    first off, there is NO WAY a teenager in high school can take on a bunch of spies no matter if he is in wrestling or not. i didnt know this would be like a spy movie. but the stuff that he did in the trailer there is no way he could pull that off in real life. if he was in college then maybe he could. plus he's i twilight so i cant take this movie seriously

    The guy can do great stunts and already has fighting experience, i'll admit it. When it comes to athleticism in a film, Lautner has it in the bag, no question about it. But his acting sucks overall.

    I like it,...Ppl here are judging everything with "TWILIGHT", totally wrong!! I liked the movie "The Red Riding Hood"(Twilight Director) - excellent movie, amazing suspense till the very end, Gary Oldman rocked. Many lame asses talk sh*t abt a movie without even watching it. The director who gave us Terminator 2 gave us Piranha 2!! - nva judge anything and everything by just one movie.
