ABC is teaming with producer Sean Bailey for a new series on the fictional detective, Marlowe.

The show would be based on Raymond Chandler's hard-boiled book PD, Philip Marlowe. Variety reports Greg Pruss and Carol Wolper will write a fresh take on the series and would be a present-day procedural crime drama with noir aspects and set in Los Angeles.; the pair will also serve as executive producers.

No word on a production schedule for Marlowe.
