ABC Eyes Charlie's Angels Pilot

In a story from Variety, ABC is close to giving a pilot order to an updated version of the classic 1970s TV show Charlie's Angels.

Josh Friedman (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) will be writing and executive producing this pilot. Sony Pictures TV is the studio behind it.

It is rumored that the success of the V reboot for ABC is what pushed the network to be high on a pilot order.

The original Charlie's Angels was on the air from 1976 to 1981.

Creator Aaron Spelling tried to bring back the show in 1988 but that never happened. Then in 2000, the Charlie's Angels movie was a hit at the box office. It brought us the sequel Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.

Charlie's Angels was released November 3rd, 2000 and stars Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu, Bill Murray, Sam Rockwell, Kelly Lynch, Tim Curry, Crispin Glover. The film is directed by McG.

I really hope that ABC decides to cast undiscovered talent. Give the shot to three unknown women to be the next tv icons!!

As long as it has really awesome girls for the angels then I don't care what they do. Cameron Diez, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Lu didn't cut it for me. Just the original cast.

Hollywood have no vision anymore. I mean come on a Charlies Angels in this day in age just cant end well. I find it a smack in the face to the original show. And besides Farrah fawcett died not too long ago and we get this sh*t. Also "V" has potential to be a great show but if it is like this weeks episode then forget about it.

Umm... check the ratings ABC "V" is dropping off. And You aren't doing it any favors by only airing 4 episodes before the long Olympics hiatus.
