In preperation for this task, Sorkin has created his very own Facebook page (you have to add him as a "Friend" to view the full page) and he has also created a Aaron Sorkin & the Facebook Movie Group on the site, in which he himself said he was writing the film.
I've just agreed to write a movie for Sony and producer Scott Rudin about how Facebook was invented. I figured a good first step in my preparation would be finding out what Facebook is, so I've started this page. (Actually it was started by my researcher, Ian Reichbach, because my grandmother has more Internet savvy than I do and she's been dead for 33 years.)
Vulture also got confirmation from producer Scott Rudin that this is legit and Sorkin is indeed writing this film for Sony. On the Aaron Sorkin & the Facebook Movie Group, you can ask questions to the man himself and, of course, write on "The Wall." Sorkin did say in his brief introduction to the site that he was looking for "Facebook stories" from users as well.
We'll surely keep you updated on this intriguing story as soon as more information comes in.

For many years now since the end of the 90`s has hollywood been in a era off total remakes and total retardation.
I am not suprised by these news, due to the fact that we have constantly heard news about remakes, remakes, showing al of us how hollywood has not much of original ideas left.
Seriously why? Why? Do a doc*mentary instead, not this sh*tty stuff, write a script. give me a freakin brake!
And secondly, why is facebook such a popular site? It looks like sh*t and is ugly as hell!
Myspace is 1000 000 times waaaaay better and looks waaay better.
Seriously it feels like we need a hero to come to hollywood and clean up al the retarded hollywood people. Seriously why are they making this movie?!

If you read that red little paragraph, the guy writing the movie doesn't even know what Facebook is lmao...umm good start. The execs were like, "Let's pick somebody who has no idea what our product is". "Yeah George! Great idea!" And watch the guy spell it wrong on the film haha FaceBlock.

The Narrator: The Better Man
This is so funny to even think about. Rofl. I can't wait to see how this fails. Then again teenagers are so apt to things like this, I'm sure it will get some business.

So lame it's unbelievable. But Sorkin still shreds.

Unless Sorkin makes this into a doc*mentary/adventure film where it's an epic Facebook vs. MySpace fight-to-the-death hellmatch with Morgan Freeman narrarating along the way, this film is doomed to sheer mediocrity.

yeah true that. thats what sucks about it, but if that was possible, then it could be like Pepsi and Cola or Iron Man and TDk (ehh..you know what i mean). and sorry oh great magic speller, its HORNY. you must hear that a lot on your friends on myspace that have weird names like Jewel and Sunshine and when you ask them for their photos, they make up an excuse that they dont have one! lol (i know a couple of stories..)

Facebook has nice features. I think if u could choose a layout for ur profile on there, it would give myspace a run for its money, but u can't, so it doesn't lol
