A Poster for Day the Earth Stood Still Crashes Down on Planet Earth

AICN has posted the first known image from the upcoming remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still, which stars Keanu Reeves as Klaatu and Jennifer Connelly as Helen. Here is the one sheet teaser poster for the Christmas release. It certainly looks authentic, but could very well be a mock-up as that has been known to happen. It looks cool enough, so we thought we would share it with you:

    I thought it was funny was that Patricia Neal awhile back was at a SCI-FI festivale, & she was there to introduce the "ORGINIAL" "The Day the Earth Stood Still" & do a Q&A W./the audience about the film Etc...and well someone asked her about the "Re-Make", and Ms. Neal laughed and said, "why did it have to be re-made?"....and when they asked her about Keanu Reeves as Klaatu ...she stated (With a smile" "Who is Keanu?!."....LOL!!!!

    the original had a great soundtrack, very theremin heavy. i hope this one has a cool sci-fi soundtrack too.
    Tyler Bates is doing the score, and hes got a pretty good resume, so we'll see.
