Entertainment One has released the first trailer and poster for A Late Quartet, writer-director Yaron Zilberman's upcoming drama that will debut tonight, September 10, at the Toronto International Film Festival before arriving in theaters November 2. Christopher Walken stars as an accomplished cellist in a string quartet, whose life is upended when he is diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. Take a look at the first footage, also featuring Philip Seymour Hoffman, Catherine Keener, and Imogen Poots, along with the one-sheet.

A Late Quartet - Trailer

When the beloved cellist of a world-renowned string quartet receives a life changing diagnosis, the group's future suddenly hangs in the balance: suppressed emotions, competing egos, and uncontrollable passions threaten to derail years of friendship and collaboration. As they are about to play their 25th anniversary concert, quite possibly their last, only their intimate bond and the power of music can preserve their legacy. Inspired by and structured around Beethoven's Opus 131 String Quartet in C-sharp minor, A Late Quartet pays homage to chamber music and the cultural world of New York.

A Late Quartet was released November 2nd, 2012 and stars Christopher Walken, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Imogen Poots, Catherine Keener, Wallace Shawn, Mark Ivanir, Madhur Jaffrey, Liraz Charhi. The film is directed by Yaron Zilberman.
