either way the formula is getting old, each in the series has gotten a little less credit than the last, and it needs to die off, only thing stopping it from choking on itself is that all the stars dont have alot going on in hollywood so it is a nice check every few years.

through a life of torment, i think it would be refreshing if neve campbell ultimately becomes the killer. all the trauma ensued you would think one would get all messed up from it, and go on a rampage... happens in real life and it would be an interesting twist on the girl next door persona that sidney has.

Vanboy it might have been a lucky guess on his part or he just didn't like the sight of her. Unless she reminded him of his mother.

As for Scream 4 I would have left it alone. What I don't get about this series is why do they pick so many killers when it should only be one.

iatehisliver, You mean Laurie Strode? Remember, the Strodes adopted her when she was little and she no longer had the Myers name, when Michael was still locked up. When she was killed off, (which I hate/it was pointless) she was older and was Strode, not Myers.

I never understood that. How could Michael have known that she existed. She was born while he was "looking passed the wall" in the looney lock-up.

Hopefully they all get killed and these movies end. Except David Arquette. He needs to live, so he can make "Eight Legged Freaks 2".

Good News I love the Scream franchise, but I do think she should be killed off lol. I reckon she should be the fisrt death. then the killer goes after Courtney and David. and the killer is the father who has gone mad, something like that. maybe he has always been ill, but now he goes crazy!!! Can't wait!!! :D

i have to agree with a lot of you that neve campbell needed to sign on because without her there would be no scream films. i am very curious to know how kevin williamson is going to tell the story...he has alot on his plate especially that horror movies are getting gorier like hostel and hills have eyes. i hope that weinstein bros. got her sign 3 picture deal so that they dont have to go thru this non sense again. i think she wanted more money out of her end of the deal. it seem like a money deal than a come back deal meaning she asked for a lot of money and bob caved in.

Well apparently Warner Bros have already offered to buy the franchise for 100 million, newkill

J.A. about MGM. Us Bond fans will probably have to wait longer for Craig's third outing. Selling the Bond franchise, there most highest grossing product, is the last thing they'll gonna do. They'll hold out as long as they can to get some cash in and who knows how long that could be. We could be without Bond for almost 4 years, but if and when they do let go of Bond, Sony is most likely to get it.

It's about fucking time. Seriously, what took this chick so long to sign onto this. Wes Craven's wait, I can see, but Neve Campbell, who has much of an acting career as Paul Walker does. I just don't get that. All we need now is for Wes Craven to come and complete the puzzle. Hopefully, he still has his horror talents.

Penguin 9026,

I'm pretty sure William's idea / is a send up of exactly what you're talking about. Drawn out franchises and reboots. The first 2 screams were about spoofing their cliches and I think that was Williamson's inspiration to revist the franchise. I have faith in this one.

There is no point in doing Scream 4. Its played out like Saw. If there has to be another installment kill off Sidney, Dooey, and Gail first thing in the film. Start fresh from there. As for MGM selling Bond and the Hobbit to make up their nearly 4 billion dollars of debt, WB should snag both up asap. This new Bond franchise would be a good suit for WB. I doubt the Hobbit gets done period. I dont know why but too many setbacks seem to follow it since its been planned.

Woah lo,l never expected this.

Also has anyone else here heard about The Hobbit may be put on an indefinate hold because MGM has gone Bankrupt.
Apparently Hobbit and the James Bond franchise may be going out.

But if it happens then Bond is getting sold to anothe company, most likely WB, but Hobbit is unknown
