Halloween 3D Pre-Production Shuts Down

Source:  Deadline Hollywood
Deadline Hollywood has reported that pre-production on Halloween 3D, which was to start shooting in November, has slowed down and is now set for an October 2010 release.

Todd Farmer's script was turned in on Friday, however, Bob Weinstein of Dimension Films decided the project is being unnecessarily rushed in an effort to work around director Patrick Lussier's schedule. Lussier is set to start Drive Angry, starring Nicolas Cage, in January.

Now Dimension Films is going to wait until Lussier is free so they can take their time with the project. The October release can't hurt either.

ATTENTION! SPOILER ALERT!! i've been hearing people asking how they could make a sequel after how the second one ended. for those who saw HALLOWEEN 2, knows how it ended. After killing her brother, Laurie has been sent to a mental institution and starts to see her mother, like Michael did. Now, it can't be a HALLOWEEN movie w/o Michael. So.... what if he's still the killer, but you see him mentally, not physically. I'm not talking about a ghost. What if Laurie has a dissociative identity disorder, a.k.a., split personality. What if her alternate personality.... is her brother, Michael. it can't be Laurie and Angel, b/c they're both the same person, just different names. so yeah, that's all i know of how michael could, i repeat, COULD return. different for the series....yes. but idk, just making a guess. like to here what's going on w/ the third one soon.

And something i noticed about halloween 3 is that it has days at the bottom of the screen. where as it will say something like "saturday the 30th" it does this like 3 or 4 times i think. anyways the intresting part was that, the days in this movie are the same days next year. Next year's halloween falls on sunday, same as in the movie. so i think that was intresting. Maybe thats why they wanna hurry and put it out next year. so that it fits with "our" halloween day"

In halloween 3, micheal myers is not real. or atleast i dont think so. cause theres a part where the lil kids are watching tv waiting for the halloween Commercial to come on. then they showed a preview of "halloween coming to theaters" I really dunno why this was even called halloween 3. is has nothing to do with micheal. it should of been called trick r treat.. or sumthing, lol

For those who posted the title wrong, it's "Season of the Witch", singular. Not "witches", plural.

And it was a stupid movie. It didn't know where it was going. Was it a movie about a warlock, conspiracy to kill all of our children, androids/machine take over? I mean it was all over the board. If this was going to be a remake of Season of the Witch, I'd like to see all that weirdness explained.

I guess what really bothered me about that movie, is that I just hated that the cute hot girl in the original got turned into an android. That freakin' sucked!

haha, yea season of the witches was a classic like night of the creeps. these movies r offen better than movies like friday the 13th, halloween, or nightmare on elm street. saw ..(well sumtimes) you dont see texas chainsaw making more parts, 2 was good enough. i think movies should end on part5. i cant imagin transformers 8th, LOLZ This halloween 2, seemed like it was done over a weekend. im suprised it didnt go str8 to dvd.

Now if they did a good remake of season of the witch i would rather see that then another forever open-ended micheal meyers"HALLOWEEN"!!

September 30th, 2009 8:49pm
End it Dammit for god's sake! i tell ya what, you need to check out brian singers "trick or treat" now that was a very good movie i dont understand why they held onto that when they keep releasing crap like ongoing should have died long ago micheal myers!

I didn't like zob's halloween 2, either. Maybe when it hits dvd or blu-ray, it might have 2 or 3 diff endings? because serioually micheal was killed in this1. Hes not a dead man hes not a zombie, hes a human , theres no way he can come back to life. So this would come into play where micheal is in acoma for 10yrs or sumthing wakes up and gets away. then we have awhole new jamie Lloyd story as for Laurie Strode. WHO KNOWS!!!!

First of all I think they're gonna ignore the remakes and the season of the witches movie this will be a remake of the return of michael myers most likely! The orginal is one of my favorites an is a classic! I think it's great that there finally giving it an October release date it should help at the box office! Now the whole 3D thing it can be done as long as they don't over do it. Hopefully Halloween will overcome it recent downfall...

YES!!!! Their is a God!! Maybe these remakes will stop!!!

September 30th, 2009 4:53am
they aren't going to go back to the season of the witch bullshit, it was an epic fail the first time around, and its about time they release a halloween movie around HALLOWEEN time.

For those of you who remeber what part3 was about?.. Halloween 3 isn't gonna be about micheal. thats why rob wants nothing to do with this1. its Halloween: "season of the witches". Its being made in 3-D.. if you remeber what the movie was about, you would understand. and makes it kinda fun. On the other hand Myers movie would hit around 2012 or 2013 that;s if we don't die, lolz and that'll be called "The Return of...YOU GUESSED IT.. Micheal.

September 30th, 2009 4:24am
if you heard how it ends, then you could easily see how a 3rd movie is possible. maybe someone gave you bad info. ....... then again, who said michael was was coming back.
