EXCLUSIVE: First Trailer for Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day to Premiere at Comic-Con!

Source:  Brian Gallagher
I just got off the phone with actor extraordinaire/awesome guy Clifton Collins Jr. and one of the many things we spoke about was Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day. Since I've been waiting for this film for quite some time, I had to ask when we could at least expect a trailer, and here's what he said.

Have you heard anything about when we might see a trailer for that?

Clifton Collins Jr.: Yeah, actually. They're going to be playing the trailer at Comic-Con.

Really?

Clifton Collins Jr.: Yes sir, so get the word out, man. I know those seats are going to go fast, but get it out to the right people and it'd be dope to have the right people there. They're cutting the trailer right now and it's going to be ready for Comic-Con, specifically for Comic-Con.

Check back shortly for the rest of my exclusive chat with Clifton Collins Jr. where we talk more Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day, Star Trek, Extract and a whole lot more.

Btw, it is a good movie. It wouldn't be popular if it was considered a bad movie obviously. Apparantly, common sense is an option nowadays. More and more I see people become braindead, it's frustrating.

Like BD said, a bad movies are ones he even listed. Those are bad movies. Good movies are Boondock Saints, Eternal Sunshine., Suicide Kings, LoTR trilogy, Man on Fire, Terminator 2, Vanilla Sky, The Dark Knight, Green Street Hooligans, Devil's Advocate, American History X, etc. There are tons of good movies out there. More good than bad fortunately for us :) I don't like Poltergiest and movies of that older genre but I wouldn't go as far as saying they are bad, cause they aren't, I just don't like it. Huge difference between distasteful likings and a failure film lol. Saying that Boondock Saints is a bad movie is like saying light bulbs don't glow.

So 2 people on here that thinks it's bad vs the rest of the world who likes it? Am I missing something here lol? The movie was cool. It had a unique twist to it. See, I'm christian and it had an interesting theory of moral shades of grey, which is what the whole thing is about. If you don't like movies that make you question what is considered right and what is considered wrong then these types of films are definitely not for you. Which is perfectly fine for you. Hell, even The Dark Knight did the same thing, but instead of killing evil men, he'd capture them or beat em up, yet you didn't bitch about that movie which is about moral shades of grey too. Yes they are different in many ways, but the overall idea is the same. Good vs Evil and how far are you willing to go to make things better?

w/e idc if u don't like it, that is fine. it won't stop me from enjoying it, like i said earlier i don't think it is some amazing movie, but i do like it and enjoy it alot.

i also don't think of myself as a moron who enjoys shit, but if i am then at least i'm blissfully unaware of my stupidity. rather to be stupid and happy then smart and pissy.

ComradeHenson is the only one on this thread with any sense. And Darko, since when is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Good Will Hunting and The Godfather stupid shit??

ComradHenson, you are absolutely correct. You are a moron who enjoys stupid shit.

It is NOT a good movie. I *might* cede "entertaining", if I were a moron who enjoys stupid shit. Even if it's not as bad as some movies, it's still fucking awful. Troy Duffy intended Boondock Saints to be taken seriously, and when people thought it was a joke, he went along for the ride and said, oh yeah, I meant to do that. It's like Tommy Wiseau with "The Room".

alright my bad for misunderstanding u other comment. but then still how is it not considered a cult classic? it isn't a mainstream movie, its not like everyone knows of it, and it wasn't initially popular, it has slowly grown due to word of mouth. i would think that makes it a cult classic but like a cult it has slowly grown, isn't that where the term came from? u know starts out small and gets big?

and i don't think it is over top, the only scene that really is over the top is actually a joke at other action movies and they even comment on how ridiculous the idea is (the ceiling vent scene). it points out that that is unrealistic and it doesn't go the way it normally does in the movies.

and i'm not saying that TBS is a cinematic master piece. i mean its not Saving Private Ryan or LOTR Trilogy, but i think it is definitely a good movie and extremely entertaining. i understand ppl don't like it but i think it is harsh to say it is awful. i mean it isn't as bad as Gigli, Glitter, Epic Movie (any of those spoofs really) Transporter 3 (actually most Jason Statham movies too) is it?

I'm really excited for this movie but, it better not suck. They had a long time to think of a story and new characters and shit like that so they better not mess this up. But i'm optimistic:) LOVE THE SAINTS!!!

I thought a lot of people would hate this movie purely based on Willem Dafoe's character. This movie just makes no sense and is a waste of time.

@ The BD: ..what!? Your counter-argument made no sense, because you completely misinterpreted my fucking statement. I wasn't saying TBS wasn't a cult classic because I didn't like it, I was saying it wasn't a cult classic because it has too large of a fan base. Think logically.

As per your Newkill comparison, I'd say Chad Vital is equally guilty.

@ ALL: Look, TBS is an awful fucking movie. I don't care if you like it, I like some really shitty movies too, but to say that it's actually a good film on the "general scale" is idiocy. I could understand if you said "I like it because of it's overdone gore effects that move beyond cheesy into an entirely different realm. It does for 'bad action' what The Evil Dead did for 'bad horror'." But you didn't. You essentially said it was a masterpiece, when the only thing it's a piece of is shit. (Universal "you")

ComradeHenson: I applaud you! You are one of a handful of people that I've ever met that is not under the spell of this "movie". People are brainwashed into thinking this movie is important/good/genius/clever/funny/original. What the HELL is Willem Dafoe actually supposed to be???!!!

Hmm, if you hate this movie then you unfortunately have terrible taste. I wish that was merely a opinion, but I think there is a law somewhere that states that it's illegal to dislike the original lol.

The Boondock Saints was an awesome movie and a sequel is long overdue. How could you not be excited about this?

r u implying that it isn't a cult classic because ur not part of the "small, loyal following"? by ur logic, then Rock Horror Picture Show isn't a cult classic cuz i don't care for it. or Deadpool isn't a cool character cuz he isn't well known to the public and i don't like him.

Comrade ur sounding like Newkill normally sounds, all irate and angry cuz ppl have different views then u. its fine that u don't like it but u don't need to troll on here and hate on it just cuz u don't.

and in my opinion it does have a lot to live up to cuz the first one had so many great moments. and it will be hard to please the die hard fans of the first movie.

I don't shop at Hot Topic and I loved The Boondock Saints. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it isn't a cult classic.

No, it doesn't have anything to live up to! The first film was a piece of Juvenile bullshit. A "cult classic" is a film with a small, loyal following. TBS has a fanbase comprised of every retard that shops at Hot Topic. I really have no idea what to say to people who think this film has any merit beyond its ridiculousness as a film. You can tell someone's a jackass moron if the they think The Boondock Saints was a genuinely good film.
