The Sopranos: Season 6, Part 1 to Come Out November 7 on HD-DVD

The Sopranos led the way for many TV shows, so it shouldn't be surprising that it is leading the way with next generation technology.

In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, the show that chronicles the exploits of the Soprano family "is poised to become the first TV series to be released on high-definition discs."

According to HBO, the companies first release in the HD-DVD format will be The Sopranos: Season 6, Part 1. The discs will hit stores November 7 which is the same day that the standard DVD set will be available

A big difference will be the price. The HD version will be $129.99 which is $30 more than it's regular DVD counterpart.
