Gary Oldman Enters The Backwoods

Gary Oldman is set to star in the thriller, The Backwoods for Lionsgate.

The film marks the feature debut of Spanish director Koldo Serra; it's set in Basque country in 1978 with two young couples on vacation. Variety adds they stumble on a deformed girl in a cabin and, in a tale of mounting violence, anger local villagers when they try to help her.

Virginie Ledoyen, Paddy Considine, Aitana Sanchez-Gijon and Lluis Homar also star in The Backwoods. Look for production to begin next year.
