Batman is certainly getting some major love from the guilds. After being nominated by the
Producers Guild of America, the
Writers Guild of America and the Screen Actors Guild, the last major guild, the Directors Guild of America, has nominated
The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan for Best Director.
He is joined by David Fincher for
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Danny Boyle for
Slumdog Millionaire, Ron Howard for
Frost/Nixon and Gus Van Sant for
Milk.
With all these guild nominations in tow, it seems that
The Dark Knight could be in line for some serious Oscar contention, but we'll have to wait until January 22, when the Oscar nominations are announced, to find out.
