The First A-Team Set Footage Hits!
October 22nd, 2009
Entertainment Tonight visited the set of Joe Carnahan's The A-Team and just made their first video available! Get a glimpse of what Face (Bradley Cooper), BA (Quinton Jackson), and Murdoch (Sharlto Copley) look like in the 21st Century. Watch it now below...In the original, four Vietnam vets convicted of armed robbery escape from military prison and became do-gooder mercenaries.
The Middle East will replace Vietnam as the place the four did their tour of duty, but Carnahan said the origin story is the jumping-off point.
The original series, which ran from 1983-87 and starred George Peppard, Mr. T, Dirk Benedict and Dwight Schultz, followed an unofficial team of Vietnam vets who will stop at nothing to get the bad guys. Sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit, these four commandos escaped from a maximum-security stockade and now survive in the Los Angeles underground as soldiers of fortune.
Stephen J. Cannell, who created the show, will produce the movie with Jules Daly, Ridley Scott, with Tony Scott executive producing through their Scott Free banner.
Also producing are and Stephen J. Cannell, the latter of whom created the original TV series.
The A-Team stars Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Sharlto Copley, Jessica Biel, Quinton Jackson and Yul Vazquez. It comes to theaters June 11, 2010 from 20th Century Fox.
