The first images from Warner Bros.'
Speed Racer is now viewable at the
USA Today website.
The newspaper has posted a story with 8 images including the whole
Speed Racer gang including Racer X, Spritle, Chim Chim, Tixi and Pops.

Based on the classic 1960s series created by anime pioneer Tatsuo Yoshida that later was retooled for North American audiences, the big-screen film will follow the adventures of the young race car driver Speed in his quest for glory in his thundering gadget-laden vehicle, Mach 5. The movie will feature other characters from the show, including Speed's family and his mysterious archrival, Racer X.
Speed Racer arrives in theatres on May 9th, 2008.

What is interesting is that according to producer Joel Silver, this movie is going to be largely or entirely shot in front of the green screen like "300"!
they're A LOT different than what I was expecting,
but than again, so was Matrix....
I have faith in the Wacho Bros.
