this is still an f'n classic.
a re-make is completely pointless...
I cant take the remakes.
"duh what should we do now.we've remade the remakes of the orginal movies.i know.lets remake harry potter.only we'll computer generate the entire movie."
You used to make so many original movies and now you are just
re-making and re-making over and over...
Seriously its only been 19 years since it came out and you guys want to re-make it.
What kind of people are in controll of hollywood these days?
Monkeys, thats who are controll of hollywood!
This remake/reboot virus has got out of hand...most are bad ideas. I'd say that this source material is pliable enough to warrant an update...
The studio could go in a direction of another charismatic, muscle bound protagonist like the Rock/Dwayne Johnson (if Disney will release their hooks from him) or maybe a more everyman type like James McAvoy (Wanted/Atonement).
If this reboot stars Shia LeBeouf, I'll rent a car and drive to Los Angeles to the Columbia Pictures lot and curse alot/kick random street trash/stick Shia sux/is overexposed/make casting directors actually cast for a change instead of rubberstamping/validating producers' "keep their mansion sheep thinking" flyers on any parked german luxury sedans or Hybrid car of the month nearby. Or something like that...
