Neil Marshall to Direct Conan?

Source:  IGN.com
First it was rumored to be Xavier Gens, then Rob Zombie, and now another name has been suggested as the director for Conan. IGN.com states that British filmmaker Neil Marshall has also been put into the running.

The screenwriting team of Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer have recently begun work on the script for film, which will bring the classic character from Robert E. Howard's pulp novels back to the big screen.

Whether it is Gens, Zombie or Marshall behind the camera, expect Conan to be a violent and bloody fantasy film. What is known is that no director will be hired until the script has been completed.

Ronny yu, I hope you suffocate in this fat womans butt. make a movie about that you fucking wannabe. Stick to making chinese movies, you leave good american horror flick movies alone. I swear if they made you make another icon of horror flick again, you YU will hear about me complaining to WES Craven, Tobe Hooper, Sean S Cunningham, John Carpenter, David Kirshner, Clive Barker, all the great ones that made these Iconic horror characters make sure that you never ever do that shit again. You made money off of them and you didn't know nothing about them. You Fuck. This is America, home of the brave and we perfect everything like example the H-BOMB. That includes movies, not chinese movies that has a logo of HURRY UP AND BUY. If you want to be a good director then learn from the great ones, SPEILBERG, CAMERON, PETER JACKSON, CRAVEN, CARPENTER, KIRSHNER, MILIUS, FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA, RAFAELLA DEL LAURENTIS, CLIVE BARKER, if you pay attention to their movies then you will know that any movie that got in their hands, they made it a classic and made sure they made it as best as they could, If you can't do that then you shouldn't be a director. I can't stand all these new young directors who are just in it for woman and to be called a director. They are messing up the Iconic roles that kept us scared and afraid to go back in the water.

An example Fuck up is Freddy vs Jason, The reason why FREDDY VS JASON sucked. Was because 1, they didn't have Kane Hodder as Jason. 2 They didn't even have one casting role that was even beleivable. They all sucked. 3 Freddy could've been more darker evil like nightmare on elm street part 1. 4 Jason looked like a hype, and you can see all the screw ups in the movie like he has two eyes. His skin looks too dark like plastic. 5 the storyline was a screw up, freddy was being more of a bad guy than Jason, and it was Jason that was killing off all her friends. They should have showed how Jason escaped Hell like the devil made a pact with him to send him back reaking carnage and that Freddy somehow came cross Jason, but they both was killing with more strength and more sadistic, like Jason would kill with brute strength and crushing skulls and Freddy Krueger laughing sadistic killing a victim in the dark and kreep up on them and see the carving on their skin while he is slicing and dicing. They had a director who never even saw a nightmare on elm st or Friday the 13th movie before. Fucking Ronny Yu fucked up Freddy and Jason and Chucky to be more of a comedy horror movie like he made sure you won't be scared of them again. He made us make sure it was good to go to sleep again after the movie. Why do you think they are making movies as prequels that are way scarier what they did in the last five years of what they used to do for a horror movie genre. I beleive Freddy and Jason and Chucky can still be scary, you just have to know and to remember why people got scared in the first place. Here is an idea let say you didn't get scared and the next scene show jump out scenes that have base music to follow it and make the sound louder in the film and that will do it and try not to make a film where they show the evil character to much in light, it should be a dim light.

But being a perfectionist is not so hard, it is just too many wannabe directors trying to get a pay check, and not really care about the movie just the deadline. When Cameron did his movies it was always good to watch and hoping to find sequels after those. You just have to find the wright actors and have the wright set to be set wright. And the sonud has to match it. Like you want a horror flick, make it darker, and less showing of the creature until the end and let it go all out and Gory.

Gerald Butler for Conan 4 ever. If not Butler at least someone that has strength, leadership, and above all looks like a warrior type. Someone that can make the director feel his acting on set. Because if you pay close attention that is what James Cameron did and why he is one of the best and when he is directing a movie everything has to be perfect like moving an object like from one spot to another. It's like being a perfectionist is what they call it.

Yeah remember when he said to that princess, I'll find my kingdom and a queen to sit beside me, and she said what kingdom, and he said the promise I was kingdom, then he said nooooo, the kingdom I was promised, then she said what queen, the Conan said Valaria, then she scoots back and said Valaria, who is this Valaria, then Conan said you zee that woman over there, then she said Zula, Conan said Valaria is like her, she doesn't look like her, but she has the same spirit , the same , the same, and she said strength, and Conan said stength agreeing with her. Then the princess said to him that got him all ticked off, could there ever be someone else besides Valaria, and conan said to her ANOTHER QUEEEN, NOT ON YOUR KNIFE, NOT ON YOUR LIFE. hahahahahahahahahahahahaLOL classic bro straight classic

Akiro the wizard... now that takes me back, lol. I love the original Conan by Milius, Conan the Destroyer, horrible in comparison.... although the face off between the 2 wizards was worth it.... and that classic line I'll never forget.... "nothing hurts you does it? Conan (totally wasted): "Only pain."
