Rosie O'Donnell Developing Simply Sketch for MTV's Logo Channel

Source:  The Hollywood Reporter
According to The Hollywood Reporter, MTV Networks' Logo channel said Monday that it has partnered with Rosie O'Donnell to develop a sketch-comedy series. The tentatively titled Simply Sketch, which will feature a cast of up-and-comers, will be filmed in front of a live audience with taped segments of musical numbers as well as commercial and movie parodies incorporating political satire.

Logo -- which targets lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender viewers -- also said that episodes will feature guest appearances by celebrities and "friends of the LGBT community".

The show is slated to premiere later this year. Simply Sketch is produced by Oh Really! Prods., headed by former Disney executives Dan MacDonald and Joe Del Hierro, who will exec produce with O'Donnell.
