Green Lantern

We recently reported that production of Green Lantern was in motion, set to go before cameras this spring. Now we may know who will be wearing that famous ring in front of the camera. Latino Review received word from their "trusted source" at Warner Bros. who claims the studio is eyeing up Ryan Gosling to portray Hal Jordan/Green Lantern.

The site had previously heard other names thrown around for the role, such as Seth Green, Justin Long and David Boreanaz, but the source said that wasn't true and that Gosling was the main actor being sought.

Of course, this isn't confirmed by the studio yet and it isn't clear if an offer was made to Gosling for the role or if there are just discussions for now. We'll surely keep you updated on this latest superhero project as soon as we get more information.

He's too melodramatic for Green Lantern.
They should go back to the black guy green lantern.
They could get Don Cheadle. Everybody loves Don Cheadle.

I wasn't referring to his size filmcritic, I was talking about his looks. His face and age doesn't really match up. I mean really think about it, look at a pic of Gosling, then look at this pic on the article...yeah, my point exactly. Btw you're giving Tobey too much credit lol.

Young, yes. The script calls for a 27 year old. But, you also need someone who looks like your sort of cliche, Chuck Yeager, cocky pilot type. Square-Jaws are a must, and Gosling doesn't have the look, or the attitude. He looks TOO young.

Tobey McGuire is a little guy too who plays Spiderman. Michael Keaton is a little guy who played Batman in a couple of movies. Neither one of them look like their civilian comic counterparts...sorry Chad.

The role will go to who can really act. Gosling and Mathew Fox would fit the bill.

zany, lol shut up. Haters? Because I can't see this little guy playing The Green Lantern makes me a hater? I suppose he is a better choice than any one else they listed lol. Looks wise. You can't have him looking like Neil Patrick Harris guys come on. That's what I'm sayin' here. I know Gosling can act but I don't see him looking like Hal Gordon sorry.

I don't really mind who plays him (of course I've never read the comics). Ryan Goslings a good actor though, so I think he could pull it off. And as for all the haters...just keep hating, cause its fun to watch you get all worked up over nothing...{If any one took offense to that remark talk to my secretary on line 2: extension B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T}

Michael Fassbender (Stelios) would b perfect for this role!! but i think hollywood doesnt see him much, shame, but still, it wud hav been nyc 2 see him wear this suit,

All I have to say is that if Seth Green gets the role of Green Lantern, I will personally murderfy everyone on the project. Keep Seth Green to his Family Guy status, and leave it at that.

This has to be a rumor, Gosling is way to good of an actor to waste his talents on a comic book movie. Nothing personal to all you superhero/comic book geeks out there.

Im a big Fan of The Green Lantern of Hal Jordan and Kyle Rayner and I thin Gosling will ruin the charactor that is Hal Jordan.

i think gossling could pull it off. he's a tremendous actor and could do very well. if he does it (and assuming the script/story is GOOD) i bet his performance is a surprise hit.

i like Ryan Gosling as an actor. i think he has dark tone that some actors try but totally miss the point of it.

but, i'm not sure he is suited for Hal Jordan. again BUT!!! i don't like the idea of Fox either. between them i'd go with Gosling.

WTF Seth Green and Justin Long they still have baby face yuo need some one older Gosling or Boreanaz are good choice but I don't know I think that Gosling is the best actor for the role.
