They're here... again. According to
The Hollywood Reporter, MGM has tapped the screenwriting team of Juliet Snowden and Stiles White ("Boogeymen") to write the screenplay for their
Poltergeist remake.
The original 1982 film was directed by Tobe Hooper and co-written by Steven Spielberg and went on to make $122 million worldwide and spawned two sequels.
No director or cast has been announced, nor has a production schedule for the film. Snowden and White also wrote the upcoming thriller
Knowing for director Alex Proyas and star Nicolas Cage, that's due out next March.

this will probably be about as good as the hitcher remake, which sucked all the soul out of the original story and replaced it with woodchips and shitty writing.
