Batman and Wonder Woman Cast in Justice League

Source:  Empire Online, IESB.net
Casting news for Justice League of America has been wildly speculated, but confirmed names are beginning to come out. We previously reported that Scott Palmer, Adam Brody and Common were confirmed for the roles of Superman, the Flash and Green Lantern, respectively.

Now from Empire Online and IESB we have it confirmed that supermodel Megan Gale will be playing the Amazon Princess, Wonder Woman, and that Arnie Hammer will take the role of Batman.

Arnie Hammer is an imposing 6' 5" tall young man who has previously been seen on Desperate Housewives and Veronica Mars. He's a young looking guy, but his height and strong jaw might work perfectly beneath the Batman's cape and cowl.

Megan Gale is a well-known supermodel in Australia, and previously appeared in the film Stealth as Dr. Orbit's secretary. She certainly has the right look for the part of Wonder Woman, though it remains to be seen if she can properly capture the Amazonian Princess's majestic aura.

If all of these casting announcements prove to be true, it looks like the major roles for Justice League of America are nearly complete. We will see whether or not George Miller will be able to complete the film in time for it's originally announced 2010 release date.

In response to The Joker: I have been reading the updates. So because it's going to be more for the kids you expect it to suck? I've lost count of how many movies were put down before they came out and they turned out to be good. All I am saying is to give it a chance. You might be surprised.

1st: JLA is not yet green lighted.
2nd: Megan Gale is a right choice for her look, don't know for her acting. I just saw her in some TV spots. She worked in a couple of italian movies but didn't watch them 'cause they're dumb.
3rd: I'm not for crossover movies. One thing is X-Men, born as a group. Another thing is putting different characters like Batman & Superman in the same team. Frank Miller said that two men like them would be surely at odds.

you have got to read all the updates. they said this movie is very much so for kids. they said who the villians are and what the plot is. batman makes a machine that he can use to spy on all the justice league members but it crosses hands into omacs, robot warriors who then use it to spy and go after the justice league members. you have to read all the updates before you tell us not to hate it. i would agree with you completely had we not read all the updates. but everything said was bad except for some casting decisions

I keep reading people wanting Bale to come in and play Batman. Even Keenan's name was brought up. If you've been reading about this movie you would know that this is going to be based on a younger version of the Justice League. Bale and Keenan would be too old. Plus once Bale is done with The Dark Knight he will begin filming Terminator 4. I wish everyone would stop bashing a movie that hasn't even come out yet. Since I was a kid I've been wanting to see a movie with all of the superheroes together. It might be surprisingly good. What I would really like to know is what villains are going to be in this movie and who would be playing them. They are just as important.

well Eva Mendes wouldnt work as the Amazon princess simply because she has very light skin. John Cena??? no. And im actually Happy and understand why Christian Bale is not playing Batman and here is why. One is that this movie is more than likely going to bomb. alot people are probably going to hate it so i wouldnt want his reputation to get destroyed by this and secondly they do not want to show a link between Christopher Nolan's Batman and the Justice League films. They want to show that they are seperate from each other. But i have a feeling that this movie is really going to remind me of Power Rangers...lets hope not.

I love how everybody pisses on a movie well before its release. The pack mentality is trash everything...Give unknowns a chance, you never know. Take Dazed and Confused for example.

Now, on with the hair splitting and rampant prejudice...

John Cena....as Superman?? LOL!
seriously guys, the movie's main characters except for Martian Manhunter has been cast. We just need to grit our teeth and wait to see if this movie will really be any good at all

Christian Bale and Michael Keaton are the best actors for the Batman roles as they look better when they get serious as opposed to these fresh faced actors (Armie Hammer,Scott Porter etc), Keaton in particular looks like trouble even when he's calm lol. That Megan Gale better put some muscle on if she's playing wonder woman there's nothing i hate more when a skinny girl kicks ass, it doesn't look right.

My choice of actors are:
Superman - John Cena
Christopher Bale - Batman
Wonder Woman - Eva Mendes
Talia Al Ghul - Claire Stansfield

i honestly think they should work it out so that they film with the people who already play the roles. bale/routh. and get some REAL actors to play the other roles. ive never heard of half these people and could care less about the other half. i dont want kids from the oc playing superheros. its gonna suck. i really dont think this is gonna work.

Yet another actor to play Batman The Dark Knight, lord help Arnie when everyone under the sun compares the him to the previous Batman's like Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Micheal Keaton, and Christian Bale.
2010 release is unlikely more likely 2011.

This is where comic book movies will JUMP THE SHARK!!! I think THE ONLY way they can pull this off is like "Beowulf" as previously rumored. Someone once said that some comic books just can't be made into movies. YOU'RE LOOKING AT IT!!! Screw this and make the goddamn "Wonder Woman" movie already!...set during WWII unlike what Joel Silver wants (present day).
