A remake of a 2007 Isreali film has just found a new director. According to
The Hollywood Reporter, filmmaker John Madden has signed on to direct
The Debt.
The film is a remake of Assaf Bernstein's
HaHov, which centered on three 1960s Isreali intelligence agents who lost a Nazi war criminal in pursuit. The target re-emerges in the 1990s, forcing one of the agents to finish the job and preserve their original cover-up.
Matthew Vaughn and his
Stardust writing partner Jane Goldman adapted the script and Vaughn will also produce with Kris Thykier.
No production schedule has been released.

Maybe i'm wrong because it has the same spelling later on at "...three 1960s Isreali intelligence agents..."
oh well, either way CelluloidDreams is right, it is too early for a remake. i'm so sick of remakes in English of films just because people are too lazy to read subtitles, what's wrong with the world?
Well I looked up "The Debt" (2007) Also Known As: "Ha-Hov" (Israel: Hebrew title)...but NETFLIX has no listing for the film...even amazon.com has no listing...So what I can gather is that it was never released in the United States...mabey a Re-Make is a good thing...? Me I think not, when the Orginial should just be released state side!
