Tron: Legacy Gets a December 17th, 2010 Release Date
September 3rd, 2009
Walt Disney Pictures announced today that they have set a December 17th, 2010 release date for the hugely anticipated sequel Tron Legacy. This means that the film will not only be going head-to-head with two holiday animated films in The Smurfs and Yogi Bear, but it will also have to share theater screens with Seth Rogen's comic book adaptation The Green Hornet.Tron Legacy is a 3D high-tech adventure set in a digital world that's unlike anything ever captured on the big screen. Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), looks into his father's disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin's loyal confidant (Olivia Wilde), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous. The film was directed by Joseph Kosinski.
Tron Legacy is set to hit theaters on December 17th, 2010.

My dad and I always used to watch TRON, and one Christmas he bought me the Collector's Edition, and when I watch it, I think of the times we watched it together. He's been dead four years now.
You could simply say, "I hate TRON"! You are conveying your absolute distain for it, without insulting anyone else's love of it. When you say, "it sucks", you are bringing it's merits into question, and people take it personally.
And that's your etiquette lesson for the day kids.
I love how Movieweb highlights and underlines anything that looks like a movie title. LOL!
I didn't know that they were making Yogi Bear....
